Le gare di Animakids e Animayoung saranno giudicate rispettivamente dalla scuola elementare di Udine e da un Liceo di Tolmezzo.

The other team composed by Tullio Avoledo, Jlenia Biffi and Mauro Carraro will judge both the Visual & Music and Poetry & Animation sections.

The competitions of the Animakids and Animayoung will be judged by the elementary school of Udine and the Liceo of Tolmezzo, respectively.

Paola Orlić is the producer of the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb, art historian and independent curator. She graduated with a degree in art history and philosophy from the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and holds an MA from the College of Art, Ohio University, USA, with a focus on art and film. After returning to Croatia, she continued working as a freelancer on cultural and media projects and an associate at several prominent film festivals in Croatia. In addition to acting as the producer at World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb, Paola is also an independent curator and lecturer. She wrote, edited and published several art monographs and collaborates with FoAM laboratory in Brussels on the long-term project called PARN (Physical and Alternate Reality Narratives).

Kreet Paljas is a cultural operator, the founder and co-organiser of Estonian Week, Baltic Sea Film Festival, Finnish Filmdays. She has been promoting Hungarian and Estonian animated films since 2003. She is currently the programme director of Anilogue International Animation Festival and the director of Estonian Institute in Hungary.

Marino Guarnieri è attualmente presidente dell’Associazione ASIFA Italia. Regista, animatore, e illustratore, i suoi lavori spaziano dagli spot pubblicitari, alle sigle televisive passando per i prodotti educational, dal cinema indipendente ai documentari.
Inizia la collaborazione con MAD Entertainment sin dalla sua fondazione, lavorando come aiuto-regista, direttore tecnico 2D, Animatore e Supervisore VFX al film L’Arte della Felicità (2013), vincendo agli European Film Awards 2014 come Miglior Film d’animazione Europeo; docente di Cinema d’Animazione alla Scuola Italiana di Comix, tiene la cattedra di Tecniche di Animazione Digitale all’Accademia Belle Arti di Napoli.
Il suo primo lungometraggio Gatta Cenerentola (2017) è il primo film d’animazione italiano candidato in Concorso alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia e ai David di Donatello, dove si aggiudica due statuette, insieme a tanti altri riconoscimenti tecnici e artistici.

Director, animator and illustrator, his works range from commercials, TV themes going through educational products, independent movies and documentaries.
He began the collaboration with MAD Entertainment from its foundation, working as Assistant Director, 2D Technical Director, Animator and VFX Supervisor for the movie The Art of Happiness (2013), which won in 2014 the award for Best European Animated Film at the European Film Awards.
Coordinator of Animation Film Course at the Italian School of Comix, where he direct short films Midnight Signs (2015) and Kitchen Symphony (coming in 2019).
Teacher of Techniques of Digital Animation and Techniques of Animation Cinema at the Accademia
Belle Arti (School of Fine Arts) in Naples. His first feature film, Cinderella The Cat (2017), is the first italian animated feature film nominated in competition at the Venice International Film Festival and to the David di Donatello, where the movie was awarded with two prizes.
Also win a special Nastro D’Argento for Technical Innovation, together with a lot of other technical and
artistical awards.
In 2020 makes Loop a short film for educational project Dr@g-net, funded by Presidency of Council of
Ministers. From 2019 on he’s President of ASIFA Italia (Italian Animated Film Association).

Born in Friuli in 1957, graduated in law, he made his literary debut in 2003 with The phone book of Atlantis (published by Sironi and then by Einaudi).
He then published another 14 novels, translated into six languages, with which he won several awards, including the Montblanc and the SuperGrinzane.
His last two novels are Furland © (Chiarelettere, 2018) and Black as night (Marsilio, 2020).
He collaborates with the major Italian newspapers.
A disappointed Europeanist, engaged in politics with the Friulian movement Pact for Autonomy, Avoledo actively supports the cause of defending the naturalness of the Tagliamento river.

Jlenia Biffi, puppet maker and artistic director of the Coppelia Theatre, she graduated in Religion Sciences with an experimental thesis on puppetry in the early centuries of the Christian era. She has been following, in seminar activities or as a student, of great masters of animation theatre such as: Stephen Mottram, Gyula Molnar, Toni Zafra Ortiz and Vladimir Zakharov, coming to improve at the 2KU Siberian theatre where she learned the construction secrets of the wrist puppet. During his ten-year career she has collaborated with several directors and actors in theatre and cinema, among others: Marcello Prayer, Ilaria Drago, Marco Cavicchioli, Marta Cuscunà, Marco Antonio Pani. She creates stage machines for other companies and holds courses throughout Italy on the theme of puppetry.

Mauro Carraro (Aviano1984) graduated from the Supinfocom Arles, France, where he studied CG animation. He also has a degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, where he studied engraving, photography and graphic design. He is director living and working in Geneva, Switzerland. “59 Seconds” is his third professional animation film finished after two and a half years of work. “Hasta Santiago” (2013) received the Best Debut Film award at the Annecy Festival, France. “Aubade” (2014) was nominated to the “Nastri d’Argento award” in Italy.
